Overview

I didn't want JDS Closet to feel like a template. From the start, I treated it as a brand-first engineering project one where the technology serves a story, not just a storefront. I built a cinematic hero section with animated fabric texture, a curated product grid, a lookbook, a journal, and a complete checkout flow. Behind the scenes, I wired up a Prisma-backed admin CMS and an analytics event model so the brand team could understand how customers engage with every page.

The Process

01

Challenge

Most fashion e-commerce solutions sacrifice brand identity for convenience. The client needed a platform that felt editorial and intentional not generic while still supporting real commerce operations like inventory, cart, checkout, and order management.

02

Approach

I built the entire platform custom using Next.js App Router. I designed the visual language around earthy tones and serif typography, created reusable product and editorial components, and structured the backend with Prisma models for products, categories, admin users, and analytics events. Every page from the lookbook to the shipping policy was crafted to feel like part of a coherent brand world.

03

Outcome

The result is a production-ready fashion platform with a distinctive voice, a complete shopping experience, and a foundation built to grow. The brand launched its Fall/Winter 2026 campaign directly on this codebase.
